1940s Vintage/Antique Comptometer (mechanical calculator). This is a very fascinating device that operates on electricity to power a motor. The motor turns a complex set of internal gears to compute addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Weight is about 20-25 pounds. In working condition, however, it really needs to be disassembled, cleaned and re-oiled to be used safely. It worked well when I bought it 25 years ago, but the oil has started to gum it up a bit now and the motor is at risk of overheating if you use it much. Operator's Manual: https://mechanicalcalculators.files.wordpress.com/2016/02/monroe-csa.pdf History of this particular model, scroll down to Model Number: CSA-10: http://www.johnwolff.id.au/calculators/Monroe/Monroe.htm Serial Number: J627191B. I can provide a video showing it operating. I really don't want to part with this wonderful vintage/antique calculator, but I have too many antiques and need to let some go.
